Reaction products corresponding to the transfer of one and several protons have been measured over a large angular range for incident energies of 380 MeV and 400 MeV in reactions of86Kr with88Sr,90Zr and92Mo. For transitions with smallQ-values (total kinetic energy loss TKEL≦10 MeV) the transfer probabilities are deduced. The magnitudes and slopes of these probabilities as function of the distance of closest approach between two nuclei are discussed. The results for single proton transfer are well described by tunneling, whereas the transfer of two and more nucleons into low lying states of the final nuclei seems to be influenced by intermediate transfer steps with larger TKEL. The data give the possibility to discuss the relation between deep-inelastic and quasi-elastic processes. The deep-inelastic data are analyzed successfully by including deformations, charge transfer and statistical fluctuations into the frictional model of Gross and Kalinowski.  相似文献

In this report, inhibitors of the gamma-secretase enzyme have been exploited to characterize the antiproliferative relationship between target inhibition and cellular responses in Notch-dependent human T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) cell lines. Inhibition of gamma-secretase led to decreased Notch signaling, measured by endogenous NOTCH intracellular domain (NICD) formation, and was associated with decreased cell viability. Flow cytometry revealed that decreased cell viability resulted from a G(0)/G(1) cell cycle block, which correlated strongly to the induction of apoptosis. These effects associated with inhibitor treatment were rescued by exogenous expression of NICD and were not mirrored when a markedly less active enantiomer was used, demonstrating the gamma-secretase dependency and specificity of these responses. Together, these data strengthen the rationale for using gamma-secretase inhibitors therapeutically and suggest that programmed cell death may contribute to reduction of tumor burden in the clinic.  相似文献

Polybenzimidazoles (PBIs) are among the polymers of choice to prepare membranes for high temperature polymer fuel cells. Poly-2,2'(2,6-pyridine)-5,5'-bibenzimidazole (PBI5N), doped with H(3)PO(4), and acid-doped PBI5N containing 10 wt% of imidazole-functionalized silica membranes were studied with thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic-mechanical analysis, infrared spectroscopy, and broadband electric spectroscopy to examine the structure-property relationships. Key results show that: (1) doped PBI5N membranes show thermal decomposition starting at 120 °C, while pristine PBI5N is stable up to 300 °C; (2) the presence of filler increases the acid uptake and decreases the crystallinity of PBI5N; (3) the addition of phosphoric acid reduces the mechanical properties of the membrane, while the addition of filler has the opposite effect; (4) acid-doped membranes have conductivity values on the order of 10(-2)-10(-3) S cm(-1); and (5) membranes exhibit a Vogel-Tamman-Fulcher (VTF) type proton conduction mechanism, where proton hopping is coupled with the segmental motion of the polymer chain. Infrared spectroscopy combined with DFT quantum mechanical calculations was used to assign the experimental spectrum of PBI5N.  相似文献

We provide an exact solution for the interplay between Bose–Einstein condensation and the Dicke–Hepp–Lieb self-organization transition of an ideal Bose gas trapped inside a single-mode optical cavity and subject to a transverse laser drive. Based on an effective action approach, we determine the full phase diagram at arbitrary temperature, which features a bi-critical point where the transitions cross. We calculate the dynamically generated band structure of the atoms and the associated suppression of the critical temperature for Bose–Einstein condensation in the phase with a spontaneous periodic density modulation. Moreover, we determine the evolution of the polariton spectrum due to the coupling of the cavity photons and the atomic field near the self-organization transition, which is quite different above or below the Bose–Einstein condensation temperature. At low temperatures, the critical value of the Dicke–Hepp–Lieb transition decreases with temperature and thus thermal fluctuations can enhance the tendency to a periodic arrangement of the atoms.  相似文献
